Spring Creek, MT—July 27, 2020—Today, Navajo Transitional Energy Company (NTEC) notified all furloughed Spring Creek Mine employees to return to work.  In April, NTEC was forced to furlough 73 employees amidst the unprecedented economic conditions created by the COVID-19 pandemic.  All employees wishing to return will begin normal work schedules the week of August 3rd.

The decision is in response to the increased electrical demand forecasts of NTEC’s customers.

“We are thrilled to be in a position to bring our Spring Creek team back so soon,” said Clark Moseley, CEO.  “We are seeing a resumption of normal energy demand, along with the increased power needs for the summer season.  Spring Creek is well-positioned to deliver the product to meet US energy demand and aid in economic recovery.”
