Coal Mining

Antelope Mine began operations in 1985 with a current permitted mining capacity of 42 million tons per year. Current mining involves dual seams with a coal seam thickness of 32 feet to 36 feet.

Cordero Rojo began operations in 1976 and currently has a permitted mining capacity of 65 million tons per year in conjunction with the Caballo Rojo Loadout.

Navajo Mine began operations in 1963 and currently has a permitted mining capacity of 4.7 million tons per year.

Spring Creek Mine began operations in 1980 and currently has a permitted mining capacity of 36 million tons per year.
