Transmission

Existing infrastructure at Four Corners allows us to connect to nearby high growth energy markets and positions the Navajo Nation for new revenue sources and economic growth.

Serving energy demands and
improving lives

The surge of AI, electrification, and population growth is putting pressure on existing energy generation capabilities. To meet demand, major utilities in the Southwest region have approved long-range, sustainable expansion plans for clean energy.  The NavEnergy Hub is uniquely positioned to meet this demand with balanced, clean energy solutions while improving the lives of Navajo citizens. In addition, transmission on the NavEnergy Hub will enable generation projects to be delivered to the grid and relieve congestion in this important region.

Leveraging and enhancing existing transmission infrastructure to connect to areas of major and increasing demand in the Southwest United States.

Long range,

sustainable energy transmission

Existing energy infrastructure on the Navajo Nation offers a tremendous advantage in the clean energy economy. Built on reclaimed land around the Four Corners Power Plant, the site of the NavEnergy Hub is already developed to provide power today and can be easily evolved for tomorrow’s power needs, such as hydrogen-based generation when fully developed. NTEC is exploring relationships with partners to add generation and transmission capabilities to existing facilities to quickly and cost-effectively provide more power to the area.
